The helicopter pilot with 5-Star Helicopters carefully guides the air conditioner evaporator unit into place on the roof of the Sabert building located at FM 1570 and Texas Highway 66.

Material handling personnel and aircrew from 5-State Helicopters staged in the loading area of Fritz Industries. A collection of twenty or so air-conditioning evaporators were placed strategically for airlift to the new Sabert Corporation building located near the 6700 block of FM 1570. Shortly after 11:30, the Sikorsky S-58’s rotors started to turn and the aircraft lifted off. Cables were attached from the aircraft to the unit and the first evaporator was in place less than five minutes later.

5-State Helicopters place units on top of warehouses where cranes cannot reach or lift them to heights that a crane is unable to boom up to. 5-State often places antennae towers in swampy ground that trucks and equipment cannot reach.

The Sabert Corporation was started by Albert Salama in his one-bedroom apartment in 1977. Today there are six factories located in Europe, Asia, and North America. The Greenville plant will be the most modern with new technology when it becomes operational in early summer. Sabert specializes in foodservice containers. Some are developed for hot, cold, and baked goods. The newest is a compostable container made from plant material.
