John Kavanaugh Ford Jr., 61, of Campbell, TX passed away on November 6, 2020 at Medical

City- Plano due to complications from a brain aneurysm twelve days earlier.

John was born January 29, 1959 in Washington D.C., the only child to John and Gloria Ford.

John was a quiet man who loved the outdoors, reading, and relaxing with family and friends. He

lived much of his life in San Diego, CA where he met Aurora and, in 1987, they married. In

1996, they moved to Campbell, TX where he was hired at L-3 in Greenville and has worked for

the past 24 years.

His lifelong love of the outdoors began at an early age while in Boy Scouts where he went on to

earn the rank of Eagle Scout. As an adult, John continued to serve as a Scout Leader while

raising his son Michael to also become an Eagle Scout.

John is survived by his wife of 33 years, Aurora Ford; his three children, Angela Ford, Michael

Ford, Michelle Dudley, son-in-law Tony Dudley and two grandchildren Leo and Isabella (due in

December); his parents John Ford Sr. and Gloria Ford.

Due to COVID restrictions, a public memorial service will be postponed until April 24th of

2021 at First Baptist Church of Commerce, TX. We will update with a time as we come
