Jimmy Carl Anderson, age 96, of Quinlan, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2020. A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, Jan 4, 2021 at Crawford Cemetery in Crawford Texas under the direction of Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan.

Jimmy Carl Anderson was born on December 9, 1924 in McGregor, Texas to Trudie Bell Johnson and Guy Washington Anderson. They moved to Oklahoma City during the depression. Jimmy earned a degree in Geology at Oklahoma City University. After spending time in the oil fields, He was introduced into a new career in financing by a fraternity brother. He began his career at the age of 28, as a financial troubleshooter for savings and loan companies until his retirement from Texas Federal in Dallas in 1979, at the age of 55. Jimmy loved bowling and an alley is where he met the love of his life, Miss Olive Christina Hawton. After a night of Jimmy flirting and Olive protesting, they married on Sunday, April 19, 1953. Jim and Olive traveled all over the world. Jim loved to race boats and later in life he enjoyed drag racing. They also loved fishing and decided to retire to Lake Tawakoni in 1972. When Olive could not travel anymore, Jim took care of her until her death. Jim was a social butterfly and friends encouraged him to return to bowling, which he did and enjoyed until his death.

He is loved and will be dearly missed by his daughter, Anita Franko and husband Michael and granddaughter, Anna Christina Franko all of Fort Worth.74
