Deborah “Debbie” A. Raby, lovingly known as “Nana” to her grandchildren and great grandchildren, passed away on August 12, 2020 in Greenville. She was 75 years old. Debbie was born on August 20, 1944 to Roy and Ruby Shaw in Ottumwa, Iowa.
Debbie worked as an accountant in the oil and gas industry throughout her life. She enjoyed going shopping, loved watching old movies, and was an avid reader. She will be remembered for her great cooking and especially for her famous Aunt “B” Salad.
Those left to cherish Debbie’s memory are her daughter, Michelle Vaughn (James) ; grandchildren, Morgan Braddock (Chris), Dalton Wood (Abigail Patterson), and Shelby Vaughn; great grandchildren, Charleigh Braddock, Taydem Braddock, Ace Harrison, and Elizabeth Wood; a brother, Roy Shaw, Jr.; along with a host of loving relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and 2 brothers, G.W. Shaw and Darryl Shaw.
The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
