Barbara Jean Flowers, 84, of Greenville, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2020 in Greenville. A graveside service will be 2:00 P.M., Friday, April 10, 2020 at Brigham Cemetery with Dr. James Ralson officiating. Coker-Mathews Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements.
Mrs. Flowers was born on December 9, 1935 in Greenville, Texas to Albert Lee Williams and Juanita Taylor. She married Guy H. (Jack) Tippit on December 25, 1952, he preceded her in death on March 31, 1998.
She married Marvin P. Flowers on January 3, 2009, he preceded her in death on March 21, 2017. She worked as a purchasing agent for East Texas State University and was a member of Highland Terrance Baptist Church. She was the best Mother, Aunt and Nana to her family.
Barbara is survived by her sons, Steve Tippit and wife, Denise of Greenville and Larry Tippit; daughter, Diana Gifford and husband Mike; grandchildren, Sarah Northcutt, Sam Tippit, Noah Tippit, Shelby Tippit, Sidney Tippit, Kate Tippit, Amelia Tippit, Kim Prieto, Ryan Toon, Laura Williams, Katy Gifford, Bud Toon, Buster Gifford; fifteen great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her both husbands, parents, sisters, Dorothy Babb, Jessie Flowers and Tootsy Lovelace.
